I try my best to refrain from discussing topics unrelated to social media, like hockey and riots. But because I’m a huge Vancouver Canucks fan, it would be difficult for me to not share my thoughts on what happened at the end of the Stanley Cup finals. I would have never considered that social media and rioting could be so connected.
On May 18th I had the opportunity to attend a TedX event held in Markham, ON. It was run by my friend Tim Shaw and him and his colleagues put on a great event. The speakers were engaging, and inspirational. In fact, the entire Tedx community and planning committee did a great job of orchestrating a smooth event. They do a really good job of tying in the larger TED events so that the whole thing feels cohesive.
